THE STABLES

Our equestrian centre, designed by Seth Stein Architects in London together with Watson Architecture in Melbourne, is located at Merricks on the Mornington Peninsula, an hour's drive south east of Melbourne. Completed in 2014, the 1100sqm complex comprises stables, paddocks, a large riding arena with show jumps and a cross country course, all for training our young foals prior to selling them.

The stables building has been recognised globally for its stunning design. It has been  featured in a number of magazines and, most recently, was chosen for inclusion in the prestigious book,  Stables, High Design for Horse and Home, published by Rizzoli International.

In 2015, it won the Victorian Institute of Architects Sir Osborn McCutcheon award for commercial architecture and.received a special mention at the Australian Institute of Architects National  Awards the same year. It was also recognised by the American Institute of Architects in the UK, winning the Professional Award Commendation in the Excellence in Design Awards, and was commended at the Blueprint Awards for best non-public use project in the commercial section.
